Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for A experienced Transport Planner to lead the update of the Local Implementation Plan (LIP). This crucial document will shape future transport investment, aligning with the Greater Manchester 2040 Transport Strategy and supporting funding allocations for sustainable transport projects.
 
The main duties of the experienced Transport Policy Planner are:
 
Lead the development of an updated Local Implementation Plan, integrating infrastructure pipeline aspirations.
Collaborate with internal teams (Highways, Landscape, Property, etc.) and external stakeholders such as Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM).
Develop funding prospectus documents to support bids for investment, ensuring compliance with TAG and Greater Manchester CRSTS business case requirements.
Compile high-level project cost estimates and maintain the Infrastructure Programme.
Engage and brief leadership teams, stakeholders, and local members.
Attend consultations & strategy workshops with regional partners.
Oversee project management, including procurement of third-party support if required.
