Site Supervisor - Bridges
About the Role:
A leading company in the civil engineering industry, specialising in bridge and infrastructure maintenance, is seeking experienced Site Supervisors to manage a range of exciting bridge projects across the UK. If you have a proven background in bridge works - particularly concrete repair, structural painting, and steel structures - this is an opportunity for you!
Role Overview:
As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. The role demands solid hands-on experience in managing bridge works, along with a strong understanding of the construction process. You will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
·Supervise site teams and subcontractors, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards
·Oversee a range of bridge-related activities, including concrete repairs, structural painting, steel work, coating, jacking, scaffolding, structure renovations, and grit blasting
·Ensure health and safety compliance on site (SMSTS qualification required)
·Maintain efficient operations, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and within project timelines
·Foster clear communication with clients and project management teams
·Ensure quality control is upheld across all phases of the project
·Address on-site issues quickly and effectively
·Provide progress updates to senior management
·Monitor the use of site equipment and materials, ensuring they are used correctly and efficiently
Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
·Valid CSCS Card
·SMSTS qualification
·Proven supervisory experience in bridge works or similar sectors
·Proficient in health and safety management
·Excellent leadership and communication skills
Desirable:
·Experience in concrete repair, structural painting, steel structure work, coating, jacking, scaffolding, grit blasting, or similar works
·Knowledge of bridge maintenance processes and materials
Project Locations & Timeline:
·Projects across the Midlands, North-East, and North-West regions.
