Job description

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in ITS (civils) and highways schemes? We are looking for a proactive freelance QS to support a major highways contract in Surrey. Measurement is a priority for this role, so a keen eye for detail and strong cost estimation skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

·Measurement & Valuation - Ensure precise take-offs and cost assessments
·Cost Control & Forecasting - Maintain budgets and track financial performance
·Subcontractor & Supplier Management - Oversee agreements and payments
·Contract Administration - NEC experience desirable
·Reporting & Client Liaison - Provide clear updates on costs and progress

What We're Looking For:

·Proven experience in highways, ITS (civils), or infrastructure projects
·Strong expertise in measurement & cost management
·Familiarity with NEC contracts (preferred but not essential)
·Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced contract environment
·Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
