Planning Manager
Location: Dover

Job Role
We are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to join our team, playing a key role in delivering critical infrastructure improvements at the iconic Port of Dover. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects, ensuring efficient planning and execution of key construction activities.
Reporting to the Project Director, the Planning Manager will be responsible for all planning aspects of the project, ensuring that work is delivered on time, safely, and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
·Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, ensuring integration of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) considerations.
·Ensure plans incorporate safe working methods and timely construction sequences, including visual aids such as stage and sequence diagrams.
·Identify programme risks, incorporate time risk allowances, and contribute to risk and opportunity management.
·Support the bid strategy by contributing innovative planning solutions.
·Communicate construction methodologies and sequencing to project teams.
·Collaborate with Estimating and Temporary Works teams to integrate temporary works into project planning.
·Assess and verify subcontractor and supplier programmes and methodologies.
·Define site setup requirements and develop phasing, logistics, and methodology narratives as required.
Person Specification:
·Degree qualified in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
·Extensive experience in planning within civil engineering or construction projects.
·Proficient in industry-standard planning software such as Primavera P6, CAD, PowerPoint, and 4Projects.
·Membership with ICE or APM is desirable.
