Location: London 2/3 Days / York 1 Day + 1 Day WFH - Hybrid Working
Salary: £45,000 - £62,000 (Dependent on Experience)

About You: This role would consider Assistant Quantity Surveyors ready to take the step up to Quantity Surveyor with a development plan to promotion before the end of the year, you should have at least 2 years experience to be considered for this.
As part of the role you will be responsible for overseeing financial and contractual performance of projects, ensuring that targets and savings are achieved. Be able to prepare and negotiate claims and manage subcontractor payments as well as attend project meetings and site visits to monitor progress
 
The Location: You will need to be happy to travel between two offices one in Stratford (South Office) and the other in York (North Office) . There are opportunities to work from home between the time split between both offices.
 
The Role: You will be working on the Eastern Routes Partnership (ERP) Framework for Network Rail's Eastern Region,  Distribution and Plant for a major contractor. They are currently on the lookout for Quantity Surveyors with experience in a railway background ideally on Network Rail projects, however HS2, London Underground and TFL will be considered. Experience working for a main contractor is preferrable but client side experience would be considered.  This position has become available due to an increase in workload with the focus being on switchgear renewals, cable renewals with projects valued between £5m-£8m.
 
Essential:
·Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
·NEC contract experience (NEC 4 ideally)
·Experience in a civil rail environment.
·Proficiency in cost management software and tools.
Desirable:
·Professional membership with RICS or CICES (desirable).
·Understanding of Lean principles (desirable).
 
Interview Process: This can be a one or two stage process, starting with an initial Teams call followed by a face-to-face meeting.
