About the Role
As a Quantity Surveyor in our Streetlighting Division, you'll be a key contributor to the success of our contracts. Based near Waltham Cross, Enfield, you'll manage the commercial aspects of a diverse range of projects-from routine maintenance and emergency call-outs to large-scale capital works.
Key Responsibilities
·Prepare and submit monthly applications, ensuring deadlines are met.
·Capture and manage project changes, keeping contract timelines on track.
·Estimate and agree on schedules of rates with precision.
·Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure their needs are met.
·Provide comprehensive project reports, including CVR and financial forecasts.
·Monitor direct costs, WIP, and cash flow to maintain financial health.
·Manage risks and the Early Warning Notification (EWN) process effectively.
·Support the operations team with contractual advice and guidance.
·Participate actively in weekly commercial and operational meetings.
·Lead procurement efforts and manage subcontractor accounts.
·Tackle ad hoc tasks as required - no two days will be the same!
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with strong numerical accuracy and exceptional communication skills, ensuring clarity across teams. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, consistently meeting strict deadlines. Experience with planned, emergency, and capital works is highly advantageous, while familiarity with software such as Mayrise or Confirm is a valuable asset. Additionally, knowledge of NEC4 term service contracts is desirable but not essential, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to develop their expertise further.
