An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Civil Engineer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team in London. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions, focusing on the design of highways and drainage systems. Key Responsibilities:
·Highway and Drainage Design:
Take the lead on the detailed design of highways and drainage systems for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
·Technical Expertise:
Apply advanced knowledge of civil engineering principles to create innovative and efficient designs that meet client and project requirements.
·Software Proficiency:
Utilise design software, particularly Causeway Flow, to deliver high-quality drainage designs, while also working with other industry-standard software for highways and infrastructure projects.
·Project Leadership:
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, ensuring designs are delivered on time and within budget, with a focus on quality and accuracy.
·Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met and expectations exceeded.
·Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure all designs adhere to health and safety regulations, local authority guidelines, and project-specific requirements. Prepare and present detailed reports and documentation as needed.
Essential Requirements:
·Chartered Engineer:
Ideally, the candidate will hold Chartered status (CEng or equivalent) or be working towards it.
·Experience:
Demonstrable experience in the design of highways and drainage systems, with a hands-on approach rather than a purely managerial focus.
·Software Skills:
Proficiency in Causeway Flow and other relevant design software.
·Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of UK design standards, such as DMRB, SuDS, and building regulations.
·Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
