Job description
An excellent opportunity has become available for a talented and motivated Civil Engineer with professional experience to join a growing engineering team in Liverpool. This role focuses on the design of highways and drainage systems, offering the chance to develop technical expertise while contributing to a variety of exciting projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Highways and Drainage Design:
Contribute to the detailed design of highways and drainage systems, ensuring solutions meet technical standards and client requirements.
Software Utilisation:
Apply design skills using software such as Causeway Flow and other industry-standard tools to deliver efficient and accurate designs.
Project Collaboration:
Work closely with senior engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure designs are aligned with project goals and deadlines.
Technical Development:
Build on existing knowledge of civil engineering principles by working on diverse projects, gaining exposure to advanced design techniques and methodologies.
Documentation and Reporting:
Assist in preparing technical reports, drawings, and calculations, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards.
Compliance:
Ensure all designs adhere to local authority requirements, relevant standards, and health and safety regulations.
Essential Requirements:
Educational Background:
A degree in Civil Engineering.
Experience:
Hands-on experience in highways and drainage design, ideally with exposure to UK projects.
Software Skills:
Proficiency with Causeway Flow is highly desirable, alongside familiarity with other engineering design tools.
Technical Knowledge:
A solid understanding of UK design standards, including DMRB, SuDS, and building regulations.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
