Job Opportunity: Project Manager
Location: London (SW, NW, E)
Salary: Up to £65,000 + Comprehensive Benefits Package
A tier 1 contractor for Thames Water is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team in one of their London offices. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on meaningful projects with hybrid working arrangements available.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager or Integrated Project Leads, you will manage the design, construction, commissioning, and delivery of contracts. The focus will be on completing projects efficiently, meeting specifications, and ensuring customer satisfaction, all while prioritizing health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
·Promote exceptional safety standards and quality in direct and subcontracted work.
·Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery from start to finish.
·Develop and monitor detailed project plans and ensure construction methods are approved before commencement.
·Maintain strong client relationships and uphold the company's reputation with partners and suppliers.
·Manage commercial aspects, ensuring accurate forecasts and estimates.
·Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental policies throughout the project lifecycle.
·Identify and address non-conformities and track associated costs.
·Lead and motivate teams to achieve time, cost, and quality targets.
About You
Essential Skills & Experience:
·Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary design and construction projects, ideally in the water industry.
·Degree or equivalent in construction, commercial, or engineering disciplines.
·Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or similar.
·Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
·Knowledge of NEC and/or IChemE construction contracts.
·Understanding of CDM and construction health and safety.
·Risk and opportunity management expertise.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
·Experience with water and wastewater treatment plants.
·Chartered status in engineering, commercial, or construction fields.
·NEC Project Manager Accreditation.
