Electrician - Highways Maintenance 
Dartford
About the Role
Are you looking for an exciting career in Highways? Working on the M25 will provide you with unparalleled experience and challenges. We are currently seeking a skilled Electrician to join our dedicated team based out of Dartford. You will be involved in a varied work pattern, covering cyclical and emergency maintenance for the Dartford River Crossing and other M25 tunnels.

Key Responsibilities
·Carry out switching operations on 11kV.
·Perform planned maintenance and defect repairs on electrical equipment, including switchgear, transformers, pumps, fans, VSDs, lighting, and control gear.
·Maintain and repair traffic safety systems, including sensors, barriers, and traffic signals at the Dartford tunnels.
·Read technical drawings, conduct fault-finding, and execute repairs independently.
·Undertake civil, electrical, and mechanical maintenance tasks within the scope of an Electrical Technician.
·Operate maintenance vehicles as required.
·Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and promote safe working practices at all times.
·Respond to incidents promptly and efficiently.
·Contribute to Connect Plus Services' sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills
·Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship and relevant City & Guilds qualifications.
·18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations certification.
·Training or willingness to undertake training in:
oHV Authorised Person (desirable)
oMEWPS, Confined Spaces, Inspection & Testing (C&G 2391), CSCS Safety Card
oIPAF, PASMA, G39 (DNO Equipment), Working at Height (Harness Training)
oFirst Aid Certification
Experience Required
·Knowledge and experience of generators and switchgear up to 11kV (desirable).
·Strong fault-finding abilities using schematic drawings.
·Proven experience in electrical maintenance.
·Familiarity with Health & Safety legislation.
·Ability to carry out electrical installations to current industry standards.
