Job Title: Estimator - Highways
Location: West Yorkshire
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
On behalf of our client, a specialist contractor within the highways sector, we are recruiting for an Estimator to join their growing Highways Division. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the delivery of busy projects within the region.
About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Estimator with a proven track record in preparing accurate and competitive quotations within the highways or construction industry. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting project delivery and ensuring the business continues to thrive in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
·Identifying and pursuing tender opportunities
·Preparing detailed, accurate quotations to secure work orders
·Conducting cost analysis and negotiating pricing with suppliers
·Building and maintaining strong relationships with supply chain partners
·Supporting quality bid submissions and ensuring smooth project handovers
About You:
·A self-motivated individual with strong commercial awareness
·Excellent forward planning and budgeting skills
·Proven ability to assess project costs with limited information
·Strong team player, capable of collaborating effectively with operations teams
·Previous experience within highways, construction, or a related industry is desirable
·Happy to work in the West Yorkshire based office on a Mon-Fri basis
