We are seeking a talented and motivated Planning Policy Officer to join a growing team. As a Planning Policy Officer, you will play a pivotal role in influencing planning strategies and policies that will shape the development landscape in Bristol and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
·Conduct in-depth research and analysis to support the development of effective planning policies.
·Engage with stakeholders, including local authorities, community groups, and developers, to gather insights and ensure a collaborative approach to policy development.
·Contribute to the preparation of planning documents, ensuring they align with national and local planning policies.
·Stay abreast of legislative changes and emerging trends in the planning sector to inform policy recommendations.
·Provide expert advice on planning policies to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
·Degree in Urban Planning, Geography, or a related field.
·Proven experience working as a Planning Policy Officer or in a similar role within the planning sector.
·Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and policies.
·Excellent research and analytical skills.
·Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
·Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
