Are you a talented Project Engineer looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering firm based in London. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' design experience post-graduation and be eager to work towards chartership status. You will be responsible for the design and analysis of structures, collaborating with engineers and technicians to deliver projects from feasibility through to detailed design and construction.
The role requires experience in all principal sectors, including residential, commercial, education, and industrial, with familiarity across key forms of construction. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required, and experience with BIM Level 2 is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
·Design structures in timber, steel, concrete, and masonry.
·Work on projects of various sizes, from small-scale residential to multi-storey frames.
·Strong coordination skills to work effectively with architects and other principal consultants.
·Comfortable with a client-facing role, attending design team and site meetings.
·Work closely with technicians to ensure designs are clearly communicated on project drawings, and review/check drawings before senior project engineer sign-off.
·Proficient in software packages such as TEDDS, Tekla Structural Designer, and Fastrak.
·Knowledge and experience of AutoCAD and Revit; BIM Level 2 experience is advantageous.
