Job: Site Engineer
Location: Kent
Salary: £35,000-£50,000 per annum depending on experience
Are you a skilled Site Engineer with a passion for delivering high-quality projects?
My client is a multi-disciplinary contractor working across the UK on high-profile civil engineering works, and are looking for a Site Engineer within the Kent region. You must have a strong civil engineering background, specifically within the highways sector.
Key Responsibilities:
·Perform precise setting out using total stations, GPS equipment, and traditional methods like profiles, batter rails, and pegs.
·Interpret and review construction drawings to ensure accuracy in execution.
·Undertake basic take-offs and prepare required quantities.
·Raise and resolve technical queries with designers and client teams.
·Conduct inspections and testing to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
·Maintain adherence to quality, safety, and environmental policies as per company procedures.
·Demonstrate a sound understanding of the distinction between cost and value, ensuring projects meet financial goals.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
·BSc/HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
·Previous experience in civil engineering, particularly highways projects, working with a main contractor.
·CSCS card in the appropriate discipline.
·SSSTS qualification (essential).
·ICE membership (preferred).
·First Aid at Work qualification (desirable).
·Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to sites.
