Role Responsibilities:
As a Senior Transport Planner, you will:
·Provide technical and administrative support to Project Directors and Principals
·Work on a variety of transport planning projects, including site audits, public consultations, and pre-application meetings
·Produce technical reports such as Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and Environmental Statements
·Conduct capacity modelling using tools like PICADY, ARCADY, and LinSIG
·Use tools such as TRICS for traffic data analysis and QGIS or similar for preparing visually engaging reports
·Assist in business development tasks and consultations with local authorities and stakeholders
·Participate in multi-modal access strategies and feasibility studies for diverse projects
·Help manage project delivery, including fee proposals and project administration tasks like budgeting and quality assurance
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
·A minimum of 4 years' experience in transport development planning or development control
·A solid understanding of the UK planning system and transport-related matters
·Familiarity with highway capacity modelling software such as PICADY, ARCADY, LinSIG, and AutoCAD is desirable
·Experience with TRICS for traffic data distribution and growth
·Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and a working knowledge of QGIS or similar tools for report creation
·Strong written, numeracy, and interpersonal skills, with a detail-oriented approach
·Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
