Are you an experienced Traffic Signal Engineer?
Our client has an opportunity for an experienced Traffic Signal Engineer to join their team in Nottingham. You will get a chance to manage the delivery of a range of traffic signals and intelligent traffic system projects and provide specialist services to enhance and maintain the network, meeting company business plan objectives and achieving client and customer requirements.

What you will be doing:
·Manage available resources and capacity within the team to ensure successful delivery of the teams work programme, to meet internal and external client expectation.
·Lead and authorise the design and delivery of traffic signal projects, which may be complex and significant, to achieve quality, programme and financial targets, meeting safety, customer and stakeholder requirements.
·Manage the provision of specialist traffic signals and intelligent traffic system input to colleagues, clients or third parties to support delivery of complex and large-scale projects across the organisation or externally undertaking role of expert witness in a legal process.
·Lead the evaluation and authorisation of externally designed engineering schemes on behalf of both internal and external clients to ensure any assets meet the appropriate design specification and safety standards.
·Monitor staff performance, coach and act as a mentor developing technical expertise of team members to assist with achieving individual performance targets and future potential.
·Act as an ambassador for individual schemes and the Company across professional, business and community events and networks at local and regional level to maintain a positive company reputation, build relationships with third parties and promote internal expertise for business development.
What you need to know:
·Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering or a related subject and post qualification relevant experience or equivalent knowledge gained through practical experience in a traffic signals environment.
·Strong ICT skills including competence in specialist computer applications used to support traffic engineering design activities including working knowledge of computer aided design and knowledge of data management environments.
·Expert working knowledge of current traffic signal design standards, contracts, and procedures.
·Proven experience of managing the delivery of a portfolio of schemes from inception to completion.
·Full UK driving licence
