Job Title: Senior Town Planner

Location: Fully Remote (with occasional travel to London every 2-3 months)

Salary: £40-£45k depending on experience

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About Our Client: Our client is a leading developer in the renewable energy sector, with a strong focus on solar farms. They are dedicated to driving the energy transition and are looking for a skilled Senior Town Planner to join their dynamic team. This role offers the flexibility of working remotely, with occasional travel to London for team meetings and project reviews.

Role Overview: As a Senior Town Planner, you will play a pivotal role in the planning and development renewable energy projects across the UK. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end planning process, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the forefront of the renewable energy sector, contributing to the development of sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
·Lead and manage the planning process from inception through to delivery.
·Prepare and submit planning applications, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
·Coordinate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external consultants to gather and integrate project data.
·Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to identify potential development opportunities.
·Monitor project progress, manage timelines, and ensure that project milestones are met.
·Provide expert advice on planning issues and navigate the complexities of local and national planning policies.
·Liaise with local authorities, communities, and other key stakeholders to address planning concerns and facilitate approvals.
·Support the project team in securing necessary permits and permissions for project development.
·Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure projects are aligned with current standards.

Requirements:
·Minimum of 3 years' experience in a planning role within either a consultancy or developer, ideally with a focus on renewable energy and solar farms.
·Strong understanding of UK planning legislation and processes related to renewable energy projects.
·Proven track record of successfully managing planning applications and navigating the approval process.
·Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
·Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
·Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
·Willingness to travel to London every 2-3 months for team meetings.
