Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Surrey
Employment Type: Full-time, On-site
Salary: £65,000-£70,000
About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Tier 1 contractor for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, working on a highways project in Surrey. This role is full-time on-site, with the possibility of work-from-home flexibility depending on project needs and discussions with the client.
Key Responsibilities:
·Manage and oversee all commercial aspects of the project.
·Prepare and negotiate variations, final accounts, and claims.
·Conduct detailed cost reporting and provide commercial forecasts.
·Ensure that project milestones are met within budget.
·Manage subcontractor procurement and supplier relationships.
·Conduct risk management and ensure all contractual obligations are met.
·Prepare accurate valuations, cost reports, and final accounts.
·Collaborate closely with the project team and client to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements:
·Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor within highways, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects.
·Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management of large projects.
·Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
·Experience working with Tier 1 contractors is advantageous.
·A proactive and problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage deadlines.
·Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
Package:
·£65,000 - £70,000 per annum dependent on experience
