Job description
A Major UK Defence company is looking to bring onboard a Senior Planner who will be responsible for delivering Project Controls Planning and Earned Value Management (EVM) expertise and analysis for projects
- Job Title - Senior Planner
- Contract Length: 18 months
- Location: Aldermaston (Full time on-site, no hybrid working)
- Pay Rate: £59.03/hour (Umbrella)
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering expertise in Project Controls Planning and EVM analysis for projects.
- Ensuring accurate and timely schedule forecasting to aid business decision-making.
- Conducting quality EV variance analysis for schedule performance (SPI).
- Supporting the continuous development of Planning tools, templates, and training for internal customers.
- Reviewing and recommending changes to the project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) with the Project Control Manager.
- Providing Planning resources for peer reviews as necessary.
- Implementing Planning processes, policies, and procedures across supported projects.
- Managing long-range operational integrated Programme Planning activities.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key project stakeholders.
- Supporting the Business Management Manager with emergent projects.
- Maintaining high personal standards in safety, health, security, quality, and teamwork.
Essential Requirements:
- Extensive experience as a senior planner.
- Proven ability to provide Planning expertise to internal project stakeholders.
- Experience in implementing Planning processes, policies, and procedures within projects.
- Proficient in producing Planning and EV deliverables in accordance with agreed project business rhythms.
- Demonstrated capability in delivering long-range operational integrated Programme Planning activities.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong commitment to personal standards in safety, health, security, and quality.
