Job Title: Road Manager
Location: London, UK
Salary: £65,000-£75,000
My client is responsible for an important highways contract within the London area. They are actively seeking an experienced Road Manager to join the team. To be considered, you must have experience within the Highways sector, specifically within the maintenance field, and at a similar level.
Key Responsibilities:
·Oversee the execution of the contract, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
·Manage and lead the operations team, coordinating all aspects of highways maintenance, from routine inspections to major repairs.
·Liaise with local authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
·Monitor and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring all work meets regulatory and contractual requirements.
·Manage project finances, ensuring cost-effective solutions and financial targets are met.
·Address and resolve any issues that arise during project execution, applying your expertise to find innovative solutions.
Key Requirements:
·A strong background within the highways sector as a Road/Project/Contract Manager and a proven track record of successfully managing term maintenance contracts.
·Degree or equivalent within Civil Engineering.
·SMSTS/CSCS.
·Demonstrable experience in leading teams and managing highways operations in a fast-paced environment.
·Great understanding of highways assets and maintenance regulations and industry best practices.
·Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
·A focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.
