Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based on the South Coast in the search for an experienced Principal Planning Policy Officer to join their Town Planning department on a 12-month contract.
 
The council are shortly due to submit their local plan and we are looking for an experienced Principal planner who has experience going through a local plan examination process. Some of the key areas include housing and sustainability appraisals; amongst other key areas.
 
We are looking for a qualified Town Planner with recent local authority planning experience of planning policy work either in a local authority or private practice in the UK. It would be beneficial to hold a RTPI accredited Planning Degree or equivalent Planning qualification and/or have experience in a similar position.
