NEC4 Site Supervisor
Carrington West is recruiting for an experienced NEC4 Site Supervisor to support the construction phase of a major highways infrastructure scheme.
This role is ideally suited to someone with a strong background in highways construction, NEC supervision, and a solid understanding of quality, safety, and environmental compliance. You'll be the lead representative on site, ensuring that all works are delivered in accordance with the NEC4 ECC contract and to the highest standards.
Role Overview:
As NEC Site Supervisor, you will take ownership of site inspections and testing, ensure compliance with specifications and contractual requirements, and play a key part in identifying and resolving issues to support successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
·Maintain a consistent presence on site and oversee daily construction activities
·Conduct inspections and audits to ensure works comply with all contractual documents (ITPs, RAMS, CPP, Specification, Scope)
·Prepare and issue supervisor reports and defect notifications as required
·Collaborate with the delivery team and contractor to monitor progress and manage risk
·Support the NEC Project Manager with Programme reviews, Early Warnings, and Compensation Events
·Monitor contractor performance on health & safety, environmental, and quality standards
·Coordinate testing requirements with the relevant laboratories
·Maintain accurate records of site activities including labour, plant, and materials
·Contribute to weekly and monthly reporting and project performance reviews
·Provide input to client-side meetings, updating on quality, progress, and issues
What You'll Need to Succeed:
·Demonstrable experience in highways construction supervision
·Strong understanding of NEC4 ECC contracts and the Supervisor role
·Excellent knowledge of CDM Regulations and health & safety legislation
·Familiarity with TM standards and permitting processes
·Confident communicator, with the ability to work collaboratively across project teams
·Proficient in general IT systems (CEMAR experience desirable)
Qualifications:
·Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline
·NEC4 Supervisor Accreditation (Desirable)
·Valid CSCS Card
·SSSTS (Desirable)
·Full UK Driving Licence
