Salary: £60,000 + (Travel Paid for)
Location: North Acton / South Ruislip (3 Days Office)

Brief:
This position as a senior design manager provides the chance to be an integral part of a high-profile project, contributing to critical infrastructure development.
In this role, you will report directly to the Lead Design Manager and will be responsible for delivering assurance on the MEP tunnels and shafts delivery unit. This includes leading and coordinating all designs and disciplines within the scope.
Key Responsibilities
·Managing at Stage 5 Design Deliverables, ensuring that all submissions are of high quality and delivered on schedule.
·You will oversee the implementation of design processes, address deviations where necessary, and manage interfaces with suppliers to ensure alignment.
·Ensuring that supplier queries are resolved promptly and collaboratively will be an essential aspect of this role.
·Ensure designs prioritize maintenance, health, safety, and welfare throughout construction and in-use stages.
·You will be expected to provide regular progress reports on design deliverables, identify risks and issues, and communicate these effectively with the Package Manager and Commercial Package Manager.
·Managing scope gaps, interface issues, and ensuring effective resolutions will also be key to the role. Furthermore, you will work closely with quality, technical assurance, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure the delivery of a high-quality product, while also supporting the commercial team in cost management and subcontractor oversight.
·Managing to CDM requirements within the supply chain. Working alongside the CDM lead, you will ensure all CDM requirements are met, robust risk reviews are undertaken, and risks are appropriately communicated with the design and construction teams.
About You:
·Must have extensive experience as a Design Manager within an MEP background preferably with tunnel fit-out projects
·Previous experience working on large scale projects
·Experience managing to CDM regs.
·Experience using AutoCad, Navisworks and Projectwise
·Previous experience managing stakeholders.
Desired:
·Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
·Familiar with MEP related software such as Amtecg
·Understanding of NEC Contracts.
