Geotechnical Engineer-

Salary: £30,000-£40,000 +Car Allowance
 
As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for key deliverables, ensuring project engineers working under you fulfill contracted duties to our clients. Working alongside and mentoring other staff, the candidate will provide regular feedback to each engineer and work in close collaboration with other disciplines to deliver the project requirements.
 
Duties & Responsibilities:
-Working collaboratively with our clients, other engineers, and technicians to deliver quality factual and interpretative reports
-Knowledge and experience of using standards and good practice around a variety of areas including earthworks, environmental assessment, remediation, coal workings, geotechnical aspects such as slope stability, foundation recommendations
-Basic contaminated land assessment and making recommendation for site remediation using appropriate best practice and technical guidance
-Planning, execution and reporting of Phase 1 and Phase 2 Geo-Environmental and Geotechnical site investigations
-Delivery of geotechnical projects and reports with working knowledge of UK design codes (including EC7 Part 1, and UK annexes), standards and specifications.
-Liaising with Clients as well as scheduling laboratory testing, logging soil and rock samples and conducting soil and groundwater risk assessments
 
 
Needed:
·Relevant University degree, BEng, or BSc or equivalent in Geology, Geotechnics, Environmental Science or similar ideally working towards chartered status.
·Full driving license required
·Personable with strong communication and relationship building capabilities
