Building Services Project Manager
£ - Umbrella Hourly Rate upon discussion
3 Months Initially (with view for extension in place)
London Borough of Brent
Primarily office-based
 
What will you do?
·Commission and contract manage multi-million-pound mechanical and electrical services, responsive repairs, maintenance, and planned refurbishment works.
·Ensure project outcomes related to feasibility, design, procurement, finance, cost control, and quality for repairs and maintenance services.
·Provide expert building surveying and technical advice to teams and stakeholders.
·Lead contract management processes, performance monitoring, and quality assurance for contractors and consultants.
·Deliver compliance with statutory approvals, including planning submissions and CDM health and safety regulations.
·Manage capital and revenue budgets, ensuring cost control and service delivery targets.
·Develop procurement strategies and outcome-based specifications to enhance service value.
·Undertake site inspections, valuations, and comprehensive surveys; produce maintenance schedules and cost estimates.
·Promote innovation in commissioning, procurement, and resource management to enhance efficiency.
·Engage in stakeholder and customer consultations, supporting service improvements and complaint resolutions.
 
What do you need?  
To be successful in your application for this role you will need to demonstrate ALL the following on application and through the interview process:
·UK Resident
·MUST have minimum 3 years' experience of working in a local authority at a senior level within a mechanical and electrical team
·Comprehensive building maintenance technique knowledge
·Expertise in diagnosing building defects and specifying remedial measures.
·Familiarity with health and safety legislation, CDM regulations, and risk assessments.
·Strong project management, budget control, and procurement skills.
·Ability to manage diverse teams, including surveyors, engineers, and consultants.
