Due to ongoing success and a growing project pipeline, they are now looking to expand their team with an experienced Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and sustainability Associate.
Role Overview:
As an EIA Associate, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality Environmental Impact Assessments across various sectors, including residential, commercial, transport, and infrastructure projects. You will work collaboratively with a dynamic team of consultants and environmental specialists to ensure compliance with planning and environmental regulations while also providing expert guidance to clients throughout the development process.
Key Responsibilities:
·Lead and manage the preparation and coordination of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for a variety of development projects.
·Provide strategic advice on EIA requirements and planning regulations, ensuring projects meet environmental sustainability standards.
·Collaborate with internal teams, including planners, architects, and environmental scientists, to ensure integrated and well-rounded assessments.
·Liaise with external stakeholders, including local authorities, regulatory bodies, and third-party consultants.
·Oversee the preparation of technical reports, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and compliant documentation.
·Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring successful project execution within agreed deadlines and budgets.
·Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, supporting their professional development.
Key Requirements:
·A degree in Environmental Science, Planning, Geography, or a related discipline (Masters or relevant professional qualification preferred).
·A strong understanding of EIA procedures, regulations, and best practices.
·Proven experience working within a planning consultancy or a related field, with a focus on EIA and environmental assessments.
·Knowledge of UK planning and environmental legislation, particularly within the context of major infrastructure and development projects.
·Excellent report writing, communication, and presentation skills.
·Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
·Ability to work collaboratively within a team and liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders.
·A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
