Asbestos Manager
£300p/d Umbrella Rate (Inside IR35)
3 Months Initially (with view for extension in place)
Solihull- HYBRID (3 days on site)
 
What will you do?
·Use Asbestos Teams software
·Take reports to site to talk through, need someone with skill around presenting a report to a head teacher as most properties are on schools, however possibility of other council buildings.
·Currently only 1 asbestos surveyor in the team, other surveyors covering other areas (minor works (maintenance) to major projects (new buildings / extensions)
·Wouldn't need to do sampling, we have partners who can do this for them
 
You will be responsible for the management and programming of asbestos surveys to council owned non-domestic buildings, largely carrying out re-inspections and giving expert advice and guidance to clients and surveyors on all asbestos related matters.
You will also be responsible for managing contracts and overseeing specialist consultants carrying out Management, Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys and removals.
 
Your main responsibilities will include:
Managing and conducting a programme of asbestos re-inspections on Council and external client non-domestic properties in accordance with current regulations; including taking samples where necessary.
Producing accurate, clear and concise documentation relating to buildings' asbestos records and sample locations
Being able to carry out material scores, liaise with customers to produce priority scores and present and discuss reports
Arranging and project managing specialist consultants carrying out Management, Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys
 
What do you need?  
To be successful in your application for this role you will need to demonstrate ALL the following on application and through the interview process:
·UK resident
·Must be able to drive, have a driving licence and be a car owner
·Enhanced DBS Required
·Qualified to BOHS P402 Proficiency Certificate in Building Survey or RSPH Level 3 Certificate in Asbestos Surveying, BOHS P405 Management of Asbestos in Buildings is desired
·Need someone with good knowledge of buildings and not just asbestos
