An opportunity has arisen for an Active Travel Officer with experience in Local Authority work to join a client in London. Working predominately on active travel plans and school engagement schemes, you will be responsible for developing and promoting healthy streets and liveable neighborhood projects, well as communicating and engaging with local residents and external contractors.
 
This is a full-time contract position. The rate on offer is £32 - £34 per hour - negotiable for the right candidate. Flexible working / working from home arrangements are available.
 
Working within the Transport team your main duties include:
·Developing and delivering active travel and school engagement schemes
·Encouraging communities to use sustainable transport options and promoting non-driving travel options
·Maintaining high levels of communication with all relevant stakeholders and external parties
·Coordinating active travel activities across the area
