Transport Planner (Development Planning)
Location: Cambridge
About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their Development Planning team in Cambridge. This role involves delivering high-quality transport planning services to support development projects from inception to implementation. The successful candidate will have a strong background in transport planning, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
·Prepare and review transport assessments and statements to support planning applications.
·Conduct traffic modelling and analysis using software such as TRICS, Junctions 9, LinSig, and VISSIM.
·Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure project compliance.
·Develop and promote sustainable transport strategies.
·Interpret and apply transport policies to development proposals.
·Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
·Prepare technical reports and presentations for various stakeholders.
·Oversee and conduct transport surveys and data analysis.
Qualifications and Experience:
·Bachelor's degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
·3-5 years of experience in transport planning within the development planning sector.
·Proficiency in transport modelling and analysis software.
·Strong understanding of UK transport policy and planning processes.
·Experience in preparing and reviewing transport assessments and statements.
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
·Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CIHT, TPS, ICE) is desirable.
