Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Southampton/Testwood
Salary: Up to £67,000 per annum plus comprehensive benefits package


Join a UK market-leading contractor specialising in major UK frameworks as a Senior Quantity Surveyor at the Southampton/Testwood site. They are dedicated to excellence in water frameworks across the UK, offering you a prime opportunity to manage high-profile projects.

Key Responsibilities:
·Project Management: Oversee quantity surveying duties, managing projects and work packages effectively.
·Cost Control: Collaborate with design, construction, and supply chain teams to capture, analyse, and control costs.
·Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to ensure business requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.
·Contract Administration: Manage the main contract, including identifying and raising contractual notices and correspondence as required.
·Subcontract Documentation: Prepare and issue subcontract documentation and assist in managing and evaluating subcontractor performance.
·Payment Applications: Oversee the preparation and agreement of applications for payment.
·Reporting: Prepare detailed project cost and value reports, budgets, and forecasts.
·Team Development: Assist in the management and development of junior commercial staff, fostering growth and learning.
·Professional Growth: Engage in continuous professional development through external networking, conferences, and industry groups to stay abreast of changes and innovations.
·Positive Approach: Maintain a positive and solution-oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback.
·Additional Duties: Undertake other duties, training, and hours as required, consistent with the role's level of responsibility.
·Professionalism: Present a professional and positive image of the department and company in all internal and external contacts, maintaining beneficial relationships.
·Confidentiality: Ensure appropriate confidentiality at all times.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
·Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
·Working towards or achieved chartered membership of a recognized institution.
·Experience in utilities, civil engineering, or MEICA sectors.
·Proven experience with NEC3 contracts.

Desirable Skills:

·Experience managing and developing a team or individual.
