Job description

Have you led landscape installation or maintenance on large infrastructure or rural estate-scale projects?

Do you know what good early-years management looks like for trees, grasslands, and other green assets?

Salary: £48,900 – £65,580
Location: London or Birmingham, hybrid working (2–3 days/week on site or office)
Closing Date: 25th April 2025

I'm looking for a Landscape-focused Senior Asset Manager to join a nationally significant programme overseeing newly established green infrastructure across a major infrastructure route. This isn’t a contract management role – it’s all about ensuring the assets on the ground are being looked after correctly, in line with legal and planning obligations.

This is a unique opportunity to join a nationally significant infrastructure programme and play a key role in overseeing the early-life maintenance of one of the largest newly created landscapes in Europe. With over 7 million trees planted and 3,500 hectares of green infrastructure, this is a chance to shape the success of a legacy project that will define environmental best practice for years to come.

Key experience:

  • Background in landscaping, landscape architecture, or green space management
  • Experience overseeing or inspecting installation and maintenance works
  • Comfortable liaising with suppliers and ensuring works align with ecological and landscape goals
  • Hands-on experience in landscape installation or management, particularly across large-scale infrastructure or public realm schemes.

If you’ve worked as a landscape architect, clerk of works, or even in rural estate management and want to step into a key client-side role, this could be a great fit.

You’ll be supporting the transition of green assets (woodlands, grasslands, ponds, hedgerows, etc.) into long-term stewardship, ensuring third-party contractors are maintaining these in line with agreed environmental and compliance standards. You’ll also help prepare for land transfers to future maintainers.

This will be a one-stage interview on Teams.
