This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced civil engineer who's looking to take the next step in their career, working across a diverse portfolio of impactful infrastructure and development projects.
Whether you're looking to grow into a more technical leadership role or simply eager to broaden your project exposure, this position offers an ideal platform to develop your expertise and contribute to high-profile work within a collaborative consultancy setting.
The Opportunity:
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering a wide variety of civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, highways, drainage, and public realm developments. You'll take ownership of project elements from initial feasibility through to detailed design, and have the opportunity to support and mentor more junior members of the team.
You'll also liaise with clients and multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring that solutions are technically sound, commercially viable, and meet the brief. This role offers the perfect blend of technical delivery, project coordination, and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
·Deliver high-quality civil engineering designs for infrastructure and drainage projects.
·Produce technical reports, design specifications, and detailed drawings.
·Support project delivery by coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
·Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical reviews.
·Assist with project planning, programming, and resourcing.
What You'll Bring:
·Degree in Civil Engineering (or a related field), with progress toward professional accreditation (e.g., IEng or CEng).
·Solid experience working on infrastructure and drainage design schemes.
·Strong working knowledge of industry-standard software and design tools.
·Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
·A proactive, problem-solving mindset and an interest in mentoring others.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
·Progress toward Chartered (CEng) or Incorporated (IEng) status.
·Understanding of construction contracts and appointment forms.
·Experience working in a consultancy or multi-disciplinary environment.
·Strong attention to detail and ability to manage project components effectively.
·Willingness to engage in CPD and technical development activities.
This is a great opportunity to develop your career within a supportive, progressive environment where your contribution is recognised and encouraged. You'll gain exposure to major projects, work alongside experienced professionals, and have access to tailored development programs designed to support your long-term career goals.
The Package:
·Competitive salary based on experience.
·26 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase additional leave.
·Flexible, hybrid working arrangements.
·Private healthcare, life assurance, and a healthcare cash plan.
·Company pension scheme and paid professional subscriptions.
·Ongoing training, CPD support, and access to structured chartership pathways.
