Are you an experienced Rural Planner with a passion for shaping the countryside? Carrington West are working with a dynamic and innovative private planning practice who are seeking a skilled individual to join their team. Key Responsibilities:
Rural Planning Expertise: Utilise your in-depth knowledge of rural planning regulations and policies to provide comprehensive planning advice.
Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and efficiency.
Development Proposals: Assess and evaluate development proposals in rural areas, providing expert guidance to clients and stakeholders.
Public Consultation: Lead and participate in public consultations, ensuring community engagement and addressing concerns in the planning process.
Site Appraisals: Conduct thorough site appraisals, considering environmental and sustainability factors in rural contexts.
Policy Implementation: Stay abreast of changes in planning legislation and policies, implementing them effectively into project strategies.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to foster a positive working environment, sharing knowledge and contributing to the success of the practice.
 
Requirements:
Private Sector Experience: Proven track record in a private planning practice, demonstrating successful project delivery.
Rural Planning Background: Extensive experience in rural planning, with a solid understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in rural environments.
Professional Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in planning or a related field, with membership or eligibility for membership with a relevant professional body.
Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex planning concepts to a diverse audience.
 
Hybrid Working: Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, with the ability to manage time effectively and deliver results both independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility: A flexible approach to work and an eagerness to adapt to the evolving needs of the planning profession.
