Principal Structural Engineer - Data Centres

Location: Although Birmingham is preferable, this role can be based in various UK locations.
Role & Responsibilities:
As a Principal Structural Engineer, you will lead and manage a dynamic team of engineers and technicians, focusing exclusively on Data Centre projects. This role offers the opportunity to take a lead of various scale projects from initial concept through to completion, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative structural designs that meet the specific demands of the Data Centre sector.
·Lead structural engineering projects with a focus on Data Centres.
·Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians.
·Engage with global clients and stakeholders to deliver bespoke solutions.
·Oversee all stages of project development, from concept design to final delivery.
Requirements:
·Education: BEng/MSc (or equivalent) in Civil/Structural Engineering.
·Professional Status: Chartered Engineer (CEng) with ICE or IStructE (or working towards considered)
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years within a design consultancy, ideally with significant experience in Data Centre projects or similar environments such as healthcare, industrial facilities or other steel framed structures.
- Strong leadership and project management abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills and client-facing experience.
- A proactive, ambitious approach to driving projects and team success.
