An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Passenger Transport Manager to come and join a busy client in the Lancashire area.
 
The Public Transport Team is part of the Public and Integrated Transport service of the county council. The team's core activities feature contracted bus service provision, mainstream school transport, public transport developments, bus stations and interchanges, managing the English concessionary travel scheme, ticketing initiatives and rail developments. We also work closely with internal and external colleagues and organisations.
 
They will lead a diverse team and will work closely with colleagues, councillors and key stakeholders to help shape Lancashire's public transport offer against the Highway and Transport Strategy, Bus Service Improvement Plan and emerging Local Transport Plan.
 
They will work with all transport operators and stakeholders, develop public transport schemes and bids for funding and develop our Enhanced Partnership approach. You will also work with neighbouring authorities to align activity and manage the joint Concessionary Travel Scheme.
