Role: Meter Reader
Location: Gainsborough and Scunthorpe
Salary: £28,685 per annum
Duration: 12 weeks and will to move into a permanent role on completion
Hours: 37 per week - flexible hours between 6:30 to 20:00 including some hours on a Saturday morning
Typical hours between 8:00- 17:00
Start date: Immediate
 
Our client is looking for a Meter Reader based in or between Gainsborough and Scunthorpe
and only application of candidates located in this area can be considered.
 
You will be responsible for organising your own time and have the flexibility to plan your own day to meet your meter reading targets.
 
A full drivers licence is required for the role.
 
Typical working day is 8:30-16:00. The working week is 37 hours and these some flexibility is needed to work between the hours of 6:30 to 20:00 Monday to Friday and 2-3 hours on a Saturday ( 1-2 times per month ) morning as this is when most customers will be at home.
 
Responsibilities include:
·Obtain accurate readings from water meters 
·Carry out meter exchanges - (Full training will be provided) 
·Collect meter data 
·Lastly and most importantly provide excellent customer service. 
 
Skills and experience:
·Customer focused individuals 
·A professional image is very important - we will provide you with a uniform and van 
·The role can be physically demanding as you will walk in the region of 3 to 8 miles per day. 
·You will also use a hand held computer to carry out your work, so basic IT skills are required 
·Due to vehicle insurance candidate with more than 6 points on their license can not be considered for this position
