Job description

We are working with a forward-thinking housing organisation to find a highly skilled Interim Head of Leasehold and Income Services to lead a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional services for residents. This strategic role involves working closely with senior leadership to ensure compliance with social housing legislation and regulation, while driving improvements in rent and service charge processes and delivering a customer-centric approach.
 
This is a hybrid position, requiring regular on-site attendance in Victoria, London.
 
The Role
·Oversee the Leasehold and Income Service, ensuring efficient operations, excellent customer service, and compliance with all relevant legislation and standards.
·Lead rent and service charge setting processes, ensuring thorough Member sign-off and active resident engagement.
·Build and maintain strong relationships with elected Members, senior managers, and external stakeholders. Respond to enquiries, provide briefing notes, and produce detailed reports.
·Actively seek and implement customer feedback to drive service improvements, ensuring a focus on equality, diversity, and inclusivity in all aspects of the role.
·Ensure services meet social housing legislation, regulation, and consumer standards, identifying opportunities for service innovation and optimization.

The Ideal Candidate
·Extensive experience managing Local Authority Leasehold and Income Services, including expertise in rent and service charge processes.
·Strong understanding of social housing legislation, consumer standards, and financial frameworks within a Local Authority setting.
·Proven ability to lead high-performing teams, influence stakeholders, and collaborate effectively with elected Members and senior managers.
·Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce comprehensive reports, briefing notes, and responses to enquiries.
·Demonstrated commitment to resident engagement, equality, and diversity, ensuring services reflect the needs and perspectives of residents.
