Housing Compliance Manager
 
Carrington West is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Housing Compliance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team responsible for ensuring that housing services meet the highest standards of safety, legal compliance, and operational efficiency.
 
The Role
·Oversee the generation and presentation of monthly and annual compliance performance reports, ensuring accuracy and alignment with legal requirements.
·Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including Councillors, Executive members, and regulators, addressing any inquiries related to housing compliance.
·Sponsor and manage compliance-related policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), commissioning Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to validate these documents and arrange audits.
·Manage and develop a team of technical staff, conducting regular one-to-one meetings, providing mentorship, and supporting professional growth.
·Establish and manage the annual compliance testing budget, collaborating with delivery teams to ensure all necessary testing is conducted within budget.
·Explore and implement cost-saving measures through improved working practices or the adoption of new technologies, driving the efficiency of the compliance function.
 
The Ideal Candidate
·Proven track record in a compliance management role, preferably within the housing or related sector.
·Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams.
·Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to a variety of stakeholders.
·Ability to analyse data, generate insightful reports, and make informed decisions.
·Meticulous in ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
