Job Title: General Foreman - Highways & Civils
Location: Surrey, UK
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
My client is a Tier 1 civil engineering contractor, and they are looking for an experienced General Foreman to join their team on a highways and civils project based in Surrey. It's an opportunity for a skilled professional to make a significant impact on a high-profile infrastructure project.
Responsibilities:
·Site Management: Oversee site operations and monitor progress to ensure the project is on schedule.
·Health & Safety: Enforce health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and promoting a safety-first culture.
·Team Leadership: Direct site operatives and subcontractors, providing guidance, support, and mentoring to ensure high performance.
·Quality Control: Ensure all work meets the required quality standards and specifications.
·Coordination: Liaise with engineers, suppliers, and other departments to manage resources and address any issues promptly.
·Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to the Site Manager, highlighting achievements and any challenges encountered.
Requirements:
·Proven experience as a General Foreman on highways, civils, or infrastructure projects.
·Strong understanding of construction processes, especially within a highways and civils environment.
·CSCS Card and relevant industry qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, First Aid).
·Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and motivate a team.
·Strong commitment to health and safety practices.
