£50 per hour (Umbrella)
Are you a skilled EC&I Engineer looking to play a key role in one of the UK's most significant nuclear clean-up projects?
We are seeking a Senior EC&I Engineer to join the team working at Sellafield, a vital project that is part of the UK's 100-year nuclear waste management programme. This role will see you involved in the engineering and design processes that will help ensure the safe storage of nuclear waste for generations to come.
Why Join This Team?
You will be part of a critical project at Sellafield, working within a dynamic and supportive team. With opportunities for both professional growth and involvement in ground-breaking work, this role offers a hybrid working option but requires four days per week on-site. You'll work closely with construction and commissioning teams to ensure high standards are met, making a real impact on the UK's nuclear decommissioning mission.
Key Responsibilities:
·Lead the EC&I design and engineering for specific area systems.
·Produce design documentation and check the work of other engineers & designers.
·Coordinate with the construction team to respond to technical queries (TQs), project processes (PPs), and concessions.
·Represent the design team during plant walk-downs, snagging, and inspections.
·Work with both construction and commissioning teams to address FOBs (Findings on Boards) and defect notices.
What We're Looking For:
·Minimum HND qualification or equivalent (Essential); Degree qualified (Preferred).
·Demonstrable experience delivering nuclear EC&I design in a similar environment.
·Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage engineering packages.
·Familiarity with EC&I deliverables, technical specifications, and reports.
·Experience working closely with client organisations to ensure a collaborative approach to design assurance.
·Familiarity with design tools such as AutoCAD, PDMS viewer, and Aveva.
·Ability to obtain BPSS security clearance.
Why Apply?
This role offers a chance to contribute to a once-in-a-lifetime project, providing invaluable experience in the nuclear sector. If you are a self-starter with strong technical and leadership capabilities, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful difference.
