Highways Design Manager
Our client is looking for a Design Manager to join their team in Manchester.
The award-winning consultancy specialises in engineering and environmental design, with a proven reputation for technical excellence. The company prides itself in investing in its people and ensuring that their staff have everything they need to develop a fantastic career.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be a key player in the delivery of the overall National Highways frameworks and lead the design delivery of this scheme and future schemes across the northwest, northeast and Yorkshire.
Requirements:
·Experience working with National Highways and/or Local Authorities on major road schemes is essential for this position
·Excellent communicator, both written and oral, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different circumstances
·Ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels both internally and externally
·A 'self-starter' with drive, positivity and enthusiasm and a strong desire to succeed
·A visible and participative technical leader, willing and able to take responsibility and be held to account for the technical performance and advancement of the team
·An ability to help build and develop a strong team through the mentoring and support provided to the team members
·Technical independence within the field of highway design
·Reliable and trustworthy; acts with consistency and integrity at all times
