Job description

Carrington West are assisting their London based local authority client in the search for a Community Regeneration Manager to join their Regeneration & Economy department on an initial 3-month contract.
 
The Regeneration & Development team delivers the council-led development programme including complex development and regeneration schemes, including Town Centre initiatives, new housing supply, new community assets including schools and community facilities, delivers capital receipts and new income streams and manages stakeholder and community relationships. The primary purpose of this post is to support the delivery of the Council's Regeneration and Development Projects both at individual project and programme level.
 
JOB PURPOSE
·Identifying funding opportunities, researching, analysing and developing funding bids to deliver regeneration projects.
·Leading, coordinating and delivering successful regeneration bids and managing the procurement activities to secure high quality partners such as suppliers, contractors and consultants.
·Being responsible for the effective management of a range of regeneration projects, programmes and strategies including monitoring and evaluation, report writing and servicing of strategic governance boards.
·Supporting the financial management of projects through raising of purchase orders, payment of invoices and financial record keeping as well as providing budget reports to funders and meeting grant conditions.
·Driving and supporting consultation and engagement projects with both internal and external stakeholders and communicating effectively with residents to ensure co-production across all community projects.

We are looking for candidates who have a Degree level qualification, or a minimum of two years project management experience. Although not mandatory, it would be beneficial to hold a Project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, PMI etc).
 
The council are happy to offer the post with flexible working arrangements however they would expect the successful applicant to have some presence onsite/in office on a weekly basis.
