Job description
WHO YOU ARE
You will be able to demonstrate the following:
·Ability to develop designs in AutoCAD and Vehicle Tracking.
·Experience of working across Microsoft Office and AutoDesk platforms.
·Experience in infrastructure design projects, preferred to have experience in S278/ S38 design and processes.
Desirable skills and experience:
·Civils 3D experience.
·Drainage experience (S104)
YOUR MAIN DUTIES WILL INCLUDE
Joining as part of the Infrastructure team and providing wider support across the business; you'll have a fantastic opportunity to support the Engineering team by supporting and learning from two Associate Highway Engineers and mentor/ receive support from Engineers, Assistant Engineers and CAD Technicians. Your key competencies should include:
·Able to be client-facing on various projects both in-person and on MS Teams.
·Prepare drawings in AutoCAD.
·Responsible for document management and the issuing of drawings.
·Support Engineering Leads in maintaining CAD standards, best practice and processes for modelling and drawing production.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Key Skills And Knowledge You Need To Demonstrate Includes:
You will be proficient in using AutoCAD, and preferably Civil3D, alternatively you have experience using a similar 3D software. Desirable competencies should also include:
·Knowledge of highway and level design.
·Ability to be client-facing and confident.
·Familiarity with British Standards/Codes of Practice.
·A good team player confident to liaise with other staff.
·Strong written communication skills - able to annotate changes in the description of works.
·Good verbal communication skills.
·Ability to manage time with multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
