Building Safety Project Manager (Technical)
£450p/d Umbrella Rate (INSIDE IR35)
3 month contract (with view to extend)
London Borough of Newham

** 3 days home working / 2 days office at Bridge Road depot (moving to 3 days office after Christmas)**
 
As a Building Safety Project Manager, you will oversee a range of specialist activities, including inspecting tall blocks for cladding system safety, conducting compartmentation surveys, identifying necessary remediation works, and preparing Building Safety Case Files and Safety Case Reports to meet Building Safety Regulator requirements.
 

You will:
·Lead the development of Building Safety Case Files and Reports.
·Inspect buildings, focusing on structural and fire safety, including cladding inspections and compliance with MHCLG guidance.
·Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders such as fire engineers, consultants, and residents to ensure building safety.
·Manage remediation works and communicate with stakeholders to ensure timely repairs and updates.
·Advise on building materials, construction methods, and safety defect identification.
·Contribute to the development of data recording systems and work to maintain a "golden thread" of building safety information.
·Stay up-to-date with statutory regulations, building codes, and the Building Safety Bill.
 
Your key responsibilities will include:
·UK Resident
·3 years' minimum public sector experience
·Experience in project management and building safety processes.
·Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and experience working collaboratively across teams.
·Knowledge of emerging building safety legislation, including the Building Safety Bill.
·Desirable experience with high-rise buildings and resolving building defects.
