Associate Transport Planner
Our client, a well-respected consultancy, is looking for an Associate Transport Planner to join their growing team in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated transport planning professional with 8-12 years of experience to step into a role where they can directly influence the business while delivering high-quality transport planning solutions.
The Role:
As an Associate Transport Planner, you will manage and produce technical transportation studies related to new developments. This role involves hands-on project work as well as business development, client management, and team leadership. You'll be responsible for overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, liaising with clients, and playing a key role in shaping the company's success.

What You'll Be Doing:
·Preparing Transport Notes, Statements, and Assessments, Travel Plans, and Site Access Appraisals using Microsoft Word & Excel.
·Applying junction capacity modelling using ARCADY, PICADY, and LinSig.
·Designing access, junction improvements, and highway schemes using AutoCAD.
·Conducting Swept Path Analysis with AutoTrack.
·Creating high-quality graphics using GIS packages or Corel Draw.
·Managing projects, clients, and key stakeholders, ensuring smooth delivery.
·Preparing client briefs, fee proposals, and contributing to business development.
·Supporting the team in achieving company-wide growth targets.
What We're Looking For:
·Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, or Transport Planning.
·Strong experience in development-focused transport planning.
·Knowledge of local and national transport policies and guidance.
·Excellent communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
·Membership (or working towards) CIHT, ICE, or a similar professional body.
·A proactive approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
