Site Engineer
Buckinghamshire
Overall Purpose of The Role:
The successful applicant will join an established high-performing team to deliver bridges and other FRC structures as part of a significant project. This role supports the management team with engineering duties and involves managing subcontracts and self-delivered works.
Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
·Support the manager and supervise any assigned staff.
·Maintain strong working relationships with the Client and other Stakeholders.
·Manage and execute work according to agreed programmes.
·Interpret and apply drawings, models, specifications, and related information.
·Transfer information from drawings and specifications to the site.
·Assist in material take-offs for the designated area of works.
·Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and business partners.
·Conduct regular site inspections and accurately report findings.
·Responsible for setting out all aspects of the works.
·Maintain records to compile as-built information.
·Manage QA records to facilitate the handover process.
·Raise Technical Queries and manage inspection requests.
·Ensure strict adherence to site safety protocols.
·Report accidents promptly to the Health & Safety Manager and/or Environmental Manager.
·Commit to implementing the Kier quality management system and achieving company/sector/site targets.
Essential Requirements:
·Relevant Construction-related Degree / HNC or working towards one.
·Valid CSCS card.
·Full clean driving licence.
·Competent in setting out using various equipment.
·Proficiency in CAD software.
·Experience in Earthworks, Drainage, or Highways Operations.
·Experience in Reinforced Concrete Structures and Bridges.
Additional Information:
· 45 hours per week.
