Are you interested in working on a multi-billion-pound railway project?

Do you have experience leading physical security assurance on rail projects?

Salary: circa £65,000 to £85,000 (flexible based on level of experience)

Manchester: 3 days per week in client office, remainder from home.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead physical security assurance across the project.
  • This role will involve developing the requirements for security systems - specifically electronic and physical elements like gates, fences, enclosure systems and intruder management systems.
  • A key part of this role will be integration of various rail systems from design all the way to commissioning.
  • Work closely with the engineering disciplines for the development of the physical security systems solutions that consider all relevant systems and sub-systems.
  • Produce PRAMS Plans & Report, and Maintenance Readiness Plans/Reports.
  • Produce and review DRACAS reports.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in physical security systems, ideally with involvement in construction and design projects across multi discipline areas.
  • Experience with railway systems assurance.
  • Understanding of PACE
  • Must have worked in multi-disciplinary environments and be familiar with processes that should be used with interface registers, risk registers etc
  • Technical qualifications to at least HNC level or equivalent
  • Membership of a relevant professional institution
  • Knowledge of structuring safety cases in support of projects
  • Knowledge of safety management and quality assurance
  • Understanding of the arrangements required for the independent assessment of works
  • Must be technical subject matter expert in electrical security systems and have delivered safety systems in a project delivery environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant of legislation including CDM and Common safety method (CSM).
  • Accident investigation experience.
  • DPE/CEM experience preferred, otherwise must have worked in engineering manager position.
  • Chartership preferred.
