Project Surveyor
 
Contract Length: 6 months
Pay Rate: £466 per day
Location: Stoke


Are you an experienced Project Surveyor looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity? Join our dynamic team and take charge of overseeing and managing maintenance and construction projects within our Corporate Property Portfolio.
 
This role offers the chance to work on a variety of projects including planned maintenance, refurbishments, adaptations, and more.
 
Key Responsibilities:
·Oversee and manage maintenance and construction works for the Corporate Property Portfolio, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
·Contribute to the development and implementation of the Corporate Asset Management Plan.
·Provide expert advice and input on the design of refurbishment and new build projects.
·Prepare and produce bills of quantities, schedules of work, budget estimates, feasibility studies, and other necessary documentation for building works.
·Verify submitted valuations, accounts, financial statements, and payment accounts.
·Liaise with contractors, conduct site visits, inspections, and measure work in progress.
·Manage variations of contracts and resolve contractual claims.
·Prepare evidence for public enquiries and court hearings, and attend as required.
·Deal with public enquiries and provide advice on property-related issues.
·Update computer records for the Public Buildings Conditions Survey and Asset Management Plan.
·Utilize pre-designed computer programs and assist in the development of computer systems for the Property Surveying Service.
·Coordinate and supervise internal and external bodies relative to repairs and minor improvements.
 
Performance Expectations:
·Maintain corporate properties to protect asset value and efficiently use available funds.
·Ensure the safety of corporate properties for staff and the public, including managing emergency works.
·Adhere to all relevant legislation, including Construction (Design and Management) regulations.
·Stay informed on relevant legislation, standards, guidelines, and information.
 
Qualifications and Skills:
·Proven experience in project surveying, specifically in overseeing and managing maintenance and construction projects.
·Strong understanding of the Corporate Asset Management Plan and effective maintenance regimes.
·Ability to prepare detailed documentation for building works.
·Excellent communication skills for liaising with contractors and dealing with public enquiries.
·Proficiency in using computer programs for property surveying services.
