NEC Site Supervisor
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Site Supervisor to join a busy team in the North West on a temporary contract basis for an initial 2 years.
The Main Duties and Responsibilities Are:
·Site supervision of construction appropriate to the project's needs (assume for 36 hours a week over a period of 24 months).
·Undertake site supervision, checking workmanship and ensuring work is carried out to the relevant specification, including the Specification for Highway Works.
·Provide daily record sheets to include plant and labour data and include details of all work carried out daily. Produce a weekly briefing note of works undertaken on site the previous week, works planned to be undertaken the following week. The report is also to include any risks that have arisen, any health and safety incidents and advise on progress against the programme.
·Review works being proposed by the contractor in terms of; size of works area, specification, materials, methodology, programme, traffic management and cost.
·Reviewing the contractor's risk assessment and method statements, as well as assessing the implementation of works against the contract with due regard to health and safety, and, where necessary instruct contractors to cease operations, completing the appropriate report/action process.
·Provide a service to the Project Managers by ensuring that all standards of work and material supplied by contractors are as specified in accordance with the contract information, and appropriate testing has been carried out by the contractor.
