Commercial Lead (Electrical and Instrumentation)

Ongoing Contract - OUTSIDE IR35
£600-700 per day
 
Our client has a fantastic opportunity for a long-term Commercial Lead on an Outside IR35 contract basis.
 
The successful commercial lead will oversee the commercial work on our client's FIDIC contract at HPC. Due to the nature of this contract and the requirements, the successful candidate must be based at the HPC office 4 days a week with one day working from home.
The Role
·Responsible/accountable for all contract and commercial requirements to deliver the project, protecting the client's commercial interests.
·Regular liaison and feedback with the other company stakeholders to provide progress updates
·Raise awareness of commercial risks and opportunities
Full post-contract administration - to include:
·Measurement and valuation of the works
·Compiling applications for payment
·Preparation and co-ordination of sourcing strategies for specialist subcontracts,
·Subcontract administration
·Cost and commercial management and reporting.
What you will need
·Qualified QS to degree standard (MRICS preferable)
·10 years similar sector experience in related industries involving electrical and instrumentation installation (Essential)
·Some exposure to major high value projects is preferred
·Working knowledge of FIDIC form of contracts or NEC suite
·Line management of a small team
·Able to work in an integrated team in a high-pressure environment.
·Able to compile claims strategies and to present and negotiate a settlement with the Customer.
·Able to conduct and successfully navigate difficult conversations.
·Knowledge of CEMAR would be a benefit.
